The AXS system is a highly practical method for preventing containers of volatile liquids and gases from exploding. A number of factors, both natural and due to human error may cause these explosions, such as; sparking, external crash fires, electronic discharge maintenance error and even gun fire or terrorist attacks.

  • The AXS system is formed from an expanded aluminum mesh with remarkable properties that allow it to suppress combustion and explosion incidents, formerly unavoidable due to burning fuel “accidents”. Other benefits of the AXS product include its inherent stabilization qualities in fuel storage containers and its unique structural mass, which improves energy redistribution.
  • AXS has been designated as primary system for the prevention of explosions in fuel tanks and other vessels containing combustible liquids and gases.
  • AXS is both functional and efficient. It is comprised of three-dimensional aluminum alloy mesh with a very large surface: essentially a honeycomb mesh fabricated from special aluminum alloy foil. The AXS safety mesh has an optimal heat conductivity factor, and is resistant to solvents, fuels and chemicals.
  • The basic principle of AXS is based on fast heat dissipation. Heat is removed from the combustion zone and further propagation of the flame is suppressed.
  • The material of which AXS is formed is manufactured on proprietary machinery and equipment.

AXS Raw Material

The AXS raw material has gone through over 40 years of research and development to ensure the effectiveness of our special and tailor made applications.
The AXS raw material is made of a special aluminum alloy that includes copper, silicon, and various other materials and plastics with foil thickness varying from 0.05 to 0.2 mm.
AXS Raw Material special alloy is the key reason behind the longevity and effectiveness of AXS products.

AXS Rolls (AXSR)

AXS Rolls are obtained by cutting and expanding the AXS raw material. The AXS machine AXS R1000 produces a three-dimensional mesh with a honeycomb structure.
AXS Rolls can be produced with various shapes, widths and dimensions depending on the application.
AXS Rolls are used for the protection of large storage tanks and stopping oil spills.

AXS Cylinders (AXSC)

AXS Cylinders are manufactured by continuously processing the AXS ROLLS through a second machine AXSC1000, short strips are cut, wound up cylindrically and twisted at both ends obtaining a sturdy cylindrical body with homogeneous distribution.
AXS Cylinders are used in Gas Stations Venting Pipes, Gas Stations Pump Chambers, gasoline cans, propane bottles, and most other common applications.
